Message: Proprietor here: The Japanese version is indeed free of quirks like the character autocomplete going away (although that weirdness is fixed with a single push of the reset button [a soft reset, with no loss of data]). While the English system has only minor quirks and continues to be popular, I do generally recommend the Japanese system.
