The JLT: a must-have

I have received the Japanese OS Pack about two weeks ago now, and so far I must say it's worth the money it costs.

At first, even though I was unsure about which version of the OS to purchase it appeared that it is pretty simple and I got used to it quickly. The overall device is very elegant and pleasant to use (although I'm not a big fan of the touch-pad style of the buttons below the screen as I keep touching them accidentally while in Landscape orientation).

The dictionaries are just perfect. In fact I realized that the Eijiro/Waeijiro was the one I use on Internet everyday (http://www.alc.co.jp/index.html) for my translation work. And if you can't find what you want in this one, there are a few other ones to try and search. Highlighting the text can be a little bit tricky at first as you have to do it with the stylus pretty quickly or the "right click" menu may pop up instead. The main functionalities are easy and quick to figure out, the input Kanji recognition is really efficient and overall the switch on-to-find word process is pretty fast.

Peter is very professional and answered all my questions the same day I was asking them. The delivery was very quick and the package would have needed to be run over by a truck to be damaged. The documentation on the provided CD is clear and if you lose the CD, you can still find it on the SD card in the device or on Internet.
Be sure to purchase a case. As already said by Peter himself, it is pretty thin and ensures that the device does not take any damage due to being carried in a bag with other things pressing on and hitting it continuously.

To sum up, a very good purchase, all of it worth the price!

Note from Peter: This customer is discussing the Complete System on an iPAQ hx4700 PDA with Japanese WM2003SE operating system.
